Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is actively seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time faculty role within the Abdominal Imaging Section of the Department of Radiology.
The Department of Radiology is equipped with advanced imaging technology across multiple facilities, including adult hospitals, a designated Cancer Center, a pediatric hospital, and a dedicated imaging center, alongside various outpatient locations. The department is comprised of a diverse team of 50 faculty members, 14 fellows, and 40 residents, recognized for its robust educational initiatives. Currently, there are 4 fellows enrolled in the ACGME accredited Abdominal Imaging Fellowship.
- Key Responsibilities: Candidates should possess extensive clinical expertise in all aspects of abdominal imaging, encompassing computed tomography, ultrasound, MRI, fluoroscopy, conventional radiographs, and percutaneous biopsy. Beyond clinical duties, the selected individual will be expected to engage in the department's academic pursuits, contributing to multidisciplinary research and the education of residents, medical students, and interns. Opportunities for research startup funding will be available on a selective basis, and dedicated time for academic endeavors can be arranged.
- Qualifications: Applicants must be Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology or an equivalent body, with specialized training in Abdominal Imaging. Candidates should also be licensed or eligible to practice medicine in the state of North Carolina.
