We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Thoracic Surgery Oncology Physician Assistant to join our team at AdventHealth Central Florida. As a key member of our multidisciplinary thoracic surgery program, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities- Perform physical examinations and evaluations of adult thoracic surgery patients in the clinic and hospital setting.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for pre and post-operative patients, including robotic surgery for the lungs and chest, minimally invasive treatment for early-stage lung cancer, and surgical intervention for esophageal conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory and imaging studies.
- Assist physicians with hospital procedures and provide pre and post-operative education to patients and families.
- Collaborate with physicians and staff to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff.
- Display a caring and professional attitude at all times and maintain personal and professional growth.
- Masters degree in physician assistant studies.
- 2+ years of surgical experience preferred.
- Current, valid Florida ARNP or PA license (or eligible).
- Certification through AANP, ANCC, NCCPA or other nationally recognized certification body (or eligible).
- BLS, ACLS certification preferred.
