Job Description

We are hiring an Engineering Intern for our Civil Engineering Department as part of our paid internship program within each of our offices and professional service groups.

Candidates should be excited about their studies and come with an open mind to learn and grow. We take pride in offering internships in the summer or throughout the year when a university is located near one of our regional offices.

Many of our interns come back to work full time for CMA or flourish throughout the A/E/C market as part of the CMA Family.

Responsibilities
  • Work on challenging projects that require collaboration within and among various departments.
  • Contribute to team projects and individual tasks assigned in the discipline you support.
  • Prepare project design drawings within MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
  • Develop project specific detail drawings.
  • Calculate project construction quantity estimates.
  • Assist with technical specifications, cost estimates, reports, schedules, and other related tasks.
  • Learn and adhere to client-specific standards.
  • Coordinate with team members and client representatives.
  • Periodic travel to project sites for field investigation and/or construction support.
Qualifications
  • On track for completing a bachelor's in engineering.
  • Knowledge of FDOT standards.
  • Knowledge of Civil 3D and ArcGIS.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply complex systems.
  • Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
