Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our team at Shaner Hotels. As a key member of our Food and Beverage Department, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and escorting guests to their tables, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Assist in preparing the restaurant for service, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Take and confirm reservations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Monitor guest needs and preferences, providing personalized service to exceed expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Food and Beverage team to ensure seamless service and high-quality food presentation.
Requirements
  • Minimum one year of experience in the Restaurant/Food and Beverage industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, management, and colleagues.
  • High school graduate or equivalent, with some college education preferred.
  • ServSafe and/or food safety training, with alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS) a plus.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus, with knowledge of local activities and attractions a bonus.
