Webber, a Ferrovial company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our Heavy Civil Construction team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall construction work for assigned projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Project Monitoring and Control: Monitor project schedules, manage labor costs, and coordinate subcontractor and self-perform work to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Safety and Risk Management: Partner with the Safety department to ensure a safe working environment, and implement policies and procedures to mitigate risks and prevent accidents.
- Cost Control and Budgeting: Evaluate labor, material, and equipment costs on a weekly basis to ensure accurate and updated construction schedules and budgets are being met.
- Field Productivity and Quality Control: Oversee field productivity, cost control, quality control, and scheduling to ensure accurate and updated construction schedules and budgets are being met.
- Communication and Leadership: Communicate regularly with project management to troubleshoot job challenges and update job status, and provide leadership through building cooperative relationships and acting systemically.
- Experience: At least 4 years of experience working on Heavy Civil construction projects, with a preference for individuals with Superintendent or Foreman experience.
- Education: Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and detail-oriented.
