Assembler II Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work from assembly layouts, schematics, drawings, sketches, bills of material, and other instructions to assemble complex components.
  • Utilize various hand and power tools, including pneumatic wrenches, screwdrivers, nut runners, taps, electric drills, and other specialized equipment as required.
  • Perform repetitive bench assembly tasks, ensuring accurate positioning of materials and assembly of details such as screws, contacts, springs, nuts, arms, washers, receptacles, guards, gaskets, and other components in the correct sequence.
  • Assemble mounting plates or frames, wire starters, relays, transformers, switches, circuit breakers, and fit and adjust outer operating controls as prescribed.
  • Operate a single spindle drill press to drill, tap, ream, counterbore, mill, and slot components.
  • Prepare Chico sealing compound and thread lubricant using a mixing machine and perform related operations.
  • Inspect parts and complete products visually or using fixed gauges and test as prescribed, detecting and segregating defective material.
  • Package finished products in proper containers, seal, label, and dispose to storage area.
Requirements:
  • Minimum one (1) year of assembly experience.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Syracuse, NY will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship.
