  • Document Preparation: Prepare and file all necessary bankruptcy documents for clients.
  • Court Representation: Represent clients at 341 meetings, court hearings, and other required appearances.
  • Client Advice: Advise clients on their rights and responsibilities during bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Research and Development: Perform research and stay updated on changes in bankruptcy laws and regulations.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with clients throughout the legal process.
  • Creditor Negotiations: Negotiate with creditors on behalf of the client to rearrange debt or create a payment plan.
  • Financial Guidance: Provide legal advice on how to avoid future financial difficulties.
  • Bankruptcy Proceedings: Handle all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings, including bankruptcy avoidance, workouts, and creditors rights.
  • Chapter 7 and 11 Representation: Represent debtors, creditors, and trustees in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy matters.
  • Adversary Proceedings: Prosecute and defend adversary and contested proceedings in bankruptcy court.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in bankruptcy law.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of federal and state bankruptcy laws.
  • Skill: Excellent negotiation and litigation skill.
  • Ability: Ability to handle high-stress situations and manage sizeable caseloads.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, writing, research and problem-solving skills.
  • Integrity: High ethical standards and professional integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience representing various parties in bankruptcy matters, including debtors, trustees, creditors, and committees.
  • Commercial Litigation: Experience in commercial litigation and real estate law.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish.
