Join Our Team as a Pediatrician - Child Abuse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatrician to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. As a Pediatrician - Child Abuse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to children and adolescents, with a focus on child abuse prevention and treatment.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a renowned Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, serving 2.6 million children. You will have the chance to develop and oversee a new Child Abuse Pediatrics program, including inpatient consultations and outpatient clinics. Additionally, you will have 50% protected time for teaching, research, quality improvement, advocacy, and other scholarly pursuits.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee a new Child Abuse Pediatrics program, including inpatient consultations and outpatient clinics
  • Provide education and training to medical students, residents, hospital staff, and community partners
  • Serve on the NYC Health + Hospitals system-wide Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Council
  • Academic appointment at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University available commensurate with experience
