Position: Aerospace Bench Technician

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00am - 3:30pm
Compensation: $17-19/HR
The Aerospace Bench Technician is responsible for the intricate troubleshooting and repair of advanced aviation electronic and electromechanical components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and analyze technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Conduct testing, disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of aircraft components.
- Accurately read and follow maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
- Preferred 2 years of experience in the electronic or electromechanical sector or completion of an Aviation Technology program.
- Technical expertise in reading and interpreting technical data.
- Skilled in soldering, board repair, and the assembly/disassembly of mechanical components.
- Familiarity with industry-standard testing equipment, including multimeters and oscilloscopes, with a willingness to learn the use of specialized tools.
Essential Skills:
- Language: Proficient in reading and interpreting safety regulations, operational procedures, and maintenance instructions. Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematical proficiency.
- Reasoning Abilities: Capable of solving practical problems and managing various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Ability to interpret diverse instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the technician is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, squat, and use hands for various tasks. The technician may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
This position is considered a DOT-FAA Safety Sensitive Position.
