We are seeking an experienced Archaeologist to join our team at Stantec. As an Archaeologist, you will be responsible for leading and conducting cultural resource investigations, providing technical expertise, and collaborating with clients to deliver high-quality projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and conduct cultural resource investigations, including field studies and data collection.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients and project teams.
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality results.
- Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Manage and supervise project teams, including archaeologists, technicians, and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Bachelor's degree in anthropology, archaeology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cultural resource management and archaeological compliance survey.
- Proven track record of leading and managing field crews and projects.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Experience with digital data collection methods and techniques, including GIS.
- Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) or qualifications that meet requirements to become an RPA.
- Master's degree in anthropology, archaeology, or a related field.
- Experience in specialty areas, including oil and gas, electric and gas transmission and distribution, renewable energy, and utilities.
