Limited-Duty Bookseller

Job Summary:

Half Price Books, Records, Magazines, Inc. is seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Limited-Duty Bookseller. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, sharing your knowledge of books, movies, and music with customers and coworkers, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver quality customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
• Share your knowledge of books, movies, and music with customers and coworkers, making recommendations and suggesting new titles and products
• Operate the cash register, handling customer transactions and processing sales
• Shelve new merchandise, maintaining a clean and organized store environment
• Participate in visual merchandising and store displays, creating an attractive and engaging shopping experience for customers

Requirements:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and coworkers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
• Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
