Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary: Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in a reputable hospital. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery and recent experience in the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.
  • Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs.
  • Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and coordination.
  • Initiate assessment based on patient problems or needs, physician medical diagnosis, and functional health framework.
  • Perform therapeutic nursing interventions.
  • Manage care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
  • Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
  • Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
  • Recent experience in the field.
  • EPIC experience preferred.
  • AWOHNN (intermediate or advanced) or NCC in electronic fetal monitoring.
  • Client will accept candidate upon passing a basic fetal monitoring test during onboarding.
  • At least 6 months of L & D travel nurse experience required, 1 year preferred.

Education and Certifications:

  • ASN.
  • BSN preferred.
  • BLS-AHA - NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
  • ACLS, Advanced AWHONN or EFM preferred.
