At Angel Oak Home Loans, we are redefining the landscape of mortgage lending by offering a diverse range of innovative financing solutions tailored to meet the needs of home buyers. We are currently seeking a Loan Processor to become an integral part of our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute all processing tasks within the timelines set by management and as detailed in the Processing Flow Responsibilities.
- Conduct an initial pre-underwriting assessment of the loan file and related documentation, ensuring compliance with program and investor guidelines as well as GSE requirements.
- Proactively follow up on outstanding orders from third parties and clients, adhering to established company deadlines.
- Collaborate with loan officers, buyers, sellers, title companies, closing agents, and real estate agents to gather necessary documentation, finalize loan submissions, and facilitate successful closings.
- Ensure submission of any non-delegated or brokered loan files to the appropriate investor in line with federal and investor regulations.
- Gather all final verifications required on loans prior to closing.
- Manage your individual pipeline to ensure accurate system data, timely processing, and compliance with all requirements.
- Maintain daily communication with designated team members regarding tasks assigned to each originator.
- Lead weekly pipeline meetings with the team to ensure objectives are met.
- Act as the primary contact for clients and originators concerning the status of loan files.
- Deliver exceptional client service and maintain proactive communication throughout all stages of the loan process.
- Collaborate with other departments to support the achievement of company objectives.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in processing or underwriting mortgage loans; 5 years preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to navigate challenging conversations towards positive outcomes.
- In-depth knowledge of conventional and government guidelines, along with Federal and State compliance requirements.
- Proficient in prioritizing multiple competing tasks effectively.
- Ability to manage a daily pipeline while achieving monthly production and quality targets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are preferred.
- Experience in fraud detection.
