Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker to join our team at Hercules Industries, Inc. This individual will be responsible for delivering merchandise to customer locations and job sites, as well as performing various duties in the warehouse, including receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing product for customer delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute delivery routes to ensure efficient use of time and equipment.
  • Perform a variety of duties in the delivery of orders to customer locations and job sites, including obtaining or pulling material to fill pick tickets, verifying quantities and items being shipped, and loading merchandise into company vehicles.
  • Deliver merchandise to customers, ensuring that delivery receipts are signed and merchandise is inspected for condition and quantity.
  • Pick up merchandise returns from customers, inspecting the condition of the merchandise and verifying quantities and catalog numbers.
  • Maintain assigned equipment in clean condition, performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance, and referring defects or necessary repairs to supervisors.
  • Verify the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against packing lists and purchase orders.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • General knowledge of warehouse procedures and ability to operate material handling equipment in a safe manner.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers to aid in satisfying customer requirements.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving practices.
  • Good driving record and may be required to have a Commercial Driver's License (dependent upon equipment operated).
  • Excellent attendance record required.
  • Able to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, and employees may be exposed to hot and cold temperatures while working both inside and outside, including on elevated balconies.
