Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at MJ Care Inc. as a School-Based Occupational Therapist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to children with exceptional educational needs in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement occupational therapy programs to meet the needs of children with special educational needs.
  • Conduct evaluations, interpret findings, and prepare written reports to support Individual Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with IEP teams to develop educationally appropriate occupational therapy goals and objectives.
  • Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to children in educational environments.
  • Travel to and among schools to provide services to children.
  • Maintain accurate records, including daily documentation, Medicaid billing logs, IEPs, and progress reports.
  • Adhere to established federal, state, and local rules, regulations, and laws related to occupational therapy services in schools.
  • Participate in professional growth and continuing education activities.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and adhere to established regulations.
