Job Description

Westamerica Bank is seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Lending Division, you will be responsible for managing the bank's commercial loan portfolio, ensuring the credit quality, yield, and portfolio mix meet the bank's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the bank's commercial loan portfolio, including review, analysis, approval, management, and collection activities.
  • Assist in underwriting and monitoring business loans secured by assets and/or real estate.
  • Originates, underwrites, and approves municipal lease facilities and supervises portfolio in compliance with governmental accounting and tax code.
  • Serve as the department's Business Unit Compliance Officer, maintaining a strong working knowledge of all laws and regulations affecting designated areas of responsibility.
Requirements:
  • Senior-level work experience in direct/indirect consumer and mortgage lending, and asset-based lending.
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial lending, documentation, and foreclosure procedures.
  • In-depth work experience of consumer lending, including business laws and banking regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or business-related field required.
Working Conditions:
  • Sitting and/or working with computers for extensive periods of time.
  • Works extended hours attending various business meetings.
  • Drives to various locations to visit branches and meet with customers.
