Peachtree Detox is on the lookout for dedicated Night Shift LPNs who possess a deep understanding of the unique needs of mental health and substance abuse patients. The ideal candidate will embody the following characteristics:

  • Experience in psychiatric or detox settings is a significant advantage, but a genuine passion for this work is essential

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the measurement and documentation of daily client vital signs and assessments
  • Administering medications and treatments in accordance with provider protocols
  • Supporting RNs and the Director of Nursing with patient admissions and discharges
  • Documenting client observations and communicating with the medical team as necessary
  • Engaging compassionately with clients to promote participation in their treatment
  • Ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all clients
  • Participating in staff training and meetings as required by the organization
  • Coordinating with the pharmacy as needed
  • Conducting patient nursing admissions, including intake surveys, blood draws, TB testing, and Genesight swabbing
  • Adhering to all policies and procedures regarding patient information protection, including confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
  • Performing other assigned duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Current licensure as an LPN in Georgia.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies and directives, and effectively present information both orally and in writing
  • Capability to work compassionately with individuals who are chemically dependent or in psychiatric care
  • Proven ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues and referral sources
  • Job requires regular activities including sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, and writing. The employee must be able to sit, use hands for handling objects, talk and hear, stand and walk, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision, along with the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions from various data sources.
  • Experience working with individuals in recovery or mental health treatment is a plus, whether professionally or personally.
