We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Operations, which can be based in any of our locations or performed remotely. The Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Operations is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the strategic planning, direction, and oversight of our warehouse distribution operations throughout the organization. This position necessitates close collaboration with Regional Directors to develop and implement efficient, cost-effective operational systems that align with the organization's strategic objectives and adapt to future demands. Furthermore, the Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Operations will guide the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team, ensuring that robust safety protocols are established, communicated, and adhered to, thereby maintaining a secure working environment. This role also encompasses monitoring performance metrics, spearheading continuous improvement initiatives, and cultivating a culture of operational excellence and safety across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving capabilities to effectively manage these responsibilities and contribute to the organization's overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervisory Duties:

  • Collaborate with Human Resources to recruit management-level personnel within the department.
  • Assist in training and developing new leaders as necessary.
  • Provide timely and constructive performance evaluations.
  • Work directly with Regional Directors to optimize operations in each territory.
  • Mentor and develop individuals within the operations team.
Core Duties:
  • Establish, implement, and communicate the strategic vision for the organization's warehouse operations division.
  • Partner with executive leadership to develop and achieve company objectives while providing expertise and guidance on operational projects and systems.
  • Collaborate with various divisions and departments to fulfill the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement innovative processes, technologies, and systems to enhance and streamline organizational operations and resource utilization.
  • Ensure that departmental decisions and project plans align with the organization's business strategy and vision.
  • Establish, communicate, and enforce operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective support and execution.
  • Assist in cost estimation and staffing requirements for projects.
  • Oversee and advise on the departmental budget.
  • Present regular performance reports and metrics to the chief operating officer and other leadership.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in operations management.
  • Identify training needs and ensure appropriate training is developed and delivered.
  • Travel may be required up to 75% of the time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for Success:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant industry experience, including three years in upper management, is required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership abilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of industry principles, procedures, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven leadership skills to foster an empowered, accountable culture and guide others through change.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening is required.
