Clinical Nurse Educator (RN)

Overview

We are seeking a committed Clinical Nurse Educator to enhance our nursing team.


Our facility is a modern Psych-Safe environment, featuring expansive outdoor spaces, gym facilities, and therapeutic gardens.

This treatment center offers comprehensive services for various age groups, including adults, adolescents, and seniors. We provide both inpatient and outpatient programs, alongside counseling and treatment for substance use disorders.

Scheduling Details:
Full Time

Monday - Friday

7 AM - 3:30 PM

(Occasional adjustments may be required to collaborate with night shift personnel)

Purpose Statement:


To plan, develop, and coordinate ongoing nursing education programs within the facility for all clinical and non-clinical nursing personnel, maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional approach at all times.

Patient safety remains our highest priority.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Evaluate educational needs and design necessary training programs.
  • Organize orientation sessions for new clinical staff.
  • Serve as a general resource for nursing personnel.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership to assess educational requirements and create plans to address them.
  • Work alongside medical professionals and the Director of Nursing to integrate nursing processes into patient care plans.
  • Provide educational guidance to patients and caregivers to improve specialized patient care within established clinical protocols.
  • Assist patients and caregivers with educational needs, problem-solving, and health management throughout the care continuum.
  • Implement and deliver educational curricula as mandated by regulatory bodies.
  • Initiate clinical skills development programs for direct care staff.
  • Educate direct patient care staff on the use of equipment and supplies, coordinating in-service training as needed.
  • Develop specialized nursing protocols for direct care staff.
  • Create and implement training as required.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:

  • An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Education is required; a Master's degree in nursing or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience, with teaching experience preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in behavioral health is required.
