About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pit Loader Operator to join our team at Plumstead Quarry, a partner of The H&K Group, Inc. This is a regular full-time position that requires a strong background in operating heavy equipment and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a front-end loader to load, unload, store, transfer, distribute, and inventory stone products and materials.
  • Perform pre and post-trip inspections of equipment and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure all work is performed according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all customers on site.
  • Maintain haul roads and stockpiles in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any issues to management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one month of related experience and/or training may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment is required.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently are necessary.
  • Ability to work a second shift schedule and meet physical demands of the job.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 months of related experience.
  • Loader operation experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a quarry or heavy civil construction environment is beneficial.
  • MSHA or other relevant safety certification is a plus.
