Job Summary

As a Host/Hostess at the Grand Traverse Resort, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. We are seeking a friendly and organized individual to join our team as a Host/Hostess for Aerie.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coat room and storage area.
  • Answer phone calls and enter reservations into the Open Table system.
  • Communicate with servers and other staff members to ensure efficient service.
  • Support the food and beverage team in providing exceptional service to our guests.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in food and beverage, preferably in an upscale high-volume establishment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous work experience within a fine dining restaurant.
  • Knowledge of fine dining and wines/beverages.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude.

Working Conditions:
The Host/Hostess position is located inside the restaurant, with occasional loud noise levels. The temperature is controlled by thermostats, and the position requires working a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
