Epic Travel Staffing is actively seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in the ICU - Intensive Care Unit for an exciting travel nursing opportunity.

Job Details:
- Shift Timing: Nights, 7p-7a, 12x3, 36 hours per week
- Weekend Shifts: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Holiday Work: Expectation to work on holidays.

Qualifications:
  • Valid GA / Compact license
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification
  • NIH and CCRN certifications preferred
Additional Information:
  • Unit Systems: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
  • Accepts first-time travelers
  • Special Equipment: Ventilators, BiPAP, IV pumps, feeding pumps, Hover mats, Sara Steady lifts, ceiling lift
  • COVID-19 Vaccine: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only

Patient Care:
- Focus on critically ill medical/surgical patients, including but not limited to: sepsis, cardiac arrest, renal failure, cardiovascular disease, respiratory failure, alcohol/drug overdose and withdrawal, post-operative surgical care, gastrointestinal bleeding, end-of-life/comfort care, and COVID-19 complications.

Unit Details:
Our ICU consists of a total of 12 beds, split between two floors. The original ICU has 6 beds located on the 2nd floor, while an additional 6 beds have been established on the 1st floor during the COVID-19 surge. Staffing ratios are maintained at 1:2 for higher acuity patients and 1:3 for lower acuity patients.

Staffing & Schedule Requirements:
  • RTO: Maximum of 7 days; Blocked Scheduling is Not Guaranteed
  • Holiday Work: Travelers are expected to work on major holidays as per the schedule.

Compliance:
Full compliance is required to start on time; non-compliance may result in a delay of up to 2 weeks due to orientation schedules.
