Aerospace Industry Leader Seeks OSP/OSM Coordinator

We are a leading manufacturer of critical structural components and complex assemblies for the aerospace & defense industry. Our team of experts is seeking a dedicated OSP/OSM Coordinator to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee relationships with external process vendors, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate and schedule outsourced processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendor partners, evaluating and onboarding new vendors as required.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with industry-specific regulations and standards among vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of service with outside process/manufacturing vendors.
  • Manage, track, and document the flow of parts to and from vendors, ensuring accurate and timely updates in the company's ERP system.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure that all vendor-supplied services meet required quality standards and specifications.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to vendor performance, quality, or non-conformance.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to align vendor services with project requirements and schedules.
  • Implement and oversee vendor performance metrics, KPIs, and continuous improvement programs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or vendor management within the aerospace industry.
  • Proven track record of managing and auditing external vendors and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and certifications (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001).
  • Experience with outside processing such as heat treating, coatings, painting, and other surface treatments.
  • Familiarity with aerospace materials and processes.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to establish and maintain effective vendor relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain management software.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and precision.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required to visit vendors or attend industry conferences.
  • Understanding of export compliance and international trade regulations.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Capability to perform risk assessments on potential vendor processes and products.
