Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a skilled Class A CDL Driver to join our team in Ontario, CA. As a dedicated solo driver, you will be responsible for delivering freight to various locations in the Inland Empire, Orange County, LA, and San Diego areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
  • Loading and unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight as required by customers
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
Benefits
  • Competitive hourly pay rate of $26.50 per hour

  • Retention bonus of $2000 every 6 months
  • Sign-on bonus of $750 at 30 days and $750 at 90 days
