MV Transportation is seeking a highly skilled PM Dispatcher to oversee the day-to-day route operations and report directly to the Operations Manager. This role involves directing the daily activities of drivers and clients, ensuring safe, cost-effective, and on-time operating performance.
Key Responsibilities- Client Communication: Respond to client calls and communicate issues with drivers and management as necessary.
- Route Monitoring: Monitor radio, telephones, and on-road service provision for quality.
- Employee Morale and Customer Service: Influence positive employee morale and quality customer service.
- Driver Management: Monitor and complete driver sign-in and sign-out daily, and may assign trips to drivers to ensure adequate distribution of trips between routes.
- System Performance: Monitor daily system performance and participate in analysis and review of operating performance.
- Route Issues: Note closed and/or late starting of routes and communicate same to Dispatch Supervisors and/or Dispatch Managers as necessary.
- Experience: One (1) year previous Dispatcher experience preferred, with two (2) years of Customer Service experience also preferred.
- Certifications: Able to obtain a CDL B with Airbrakes and Passenger endorsement, with paid training available to obtain a CDL with endorsements.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a high customer service commitment.
