Operating Room Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team at Verovian Nursing Agency. As an OR RN, you will play a critical role in ensuring the best possible care for our patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Job Summary:The Operating Room Registered Nurse will be responsible for managing the operating room environment, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available, and collaborating with the surgical team to provide exceptional patient care. This is a 13-week temporary position, offering 40 hours of work per week from 7 am to 3 pm.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the operating room environment, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to provide exceptional patient care, including preoperative education and postoperative care.
- Monitor patient vital signs and administer medications as needed.
- Document all aspects of the surgical procedure, including patient information, medications, and any complications that may arise.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team, ensuring that everyone is on the same page and that the patient receives the best possible care.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with additional certification in preoperative nursing.
- Current, unrestricted license to practice nursing, with passing the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) and meeting other state-specific requirements.
- Prior experience in preoperative nursing, either through a formal preoperative nursing program or through on-the-job training.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.
