Job Title: Bus Driver

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Bus Driver to join our team at The Blake School. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for transporting students to and from school, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport students to and from school, following established routes and schedules.
  • Ensure the safety and security of students on board, including directing and assisting in evacuation procedures.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of school buses to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to ensure a smooth and efficient transportation experience.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain and improve driving skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class B commercial driver's license with passenger and school bus endorsements.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with students and parents in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform duties in extreme weather conditions.
  • Pass a Blake School's Driver Ability Assessment and submit to random drug testing.
