Job Summary:

As a Senior Center Aide with Lehi City (UT), you will play a vital role in operating and scheduling the Senior Center. This position requires a team player who can perform a variety of general duties to ensure the smooth operation of the center.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the facility for daily lunches and events, receiving and preparing food for serving.
  • Engage with Senior Citizen patrons at meals and activities, providing excellent customer service.
  • Receive orders and deliveries, assist with organizing and storing materials and supplies.
  • Help with counting daily collections and maintain accurate records.
  • Respond to telephone calls and walk-in inquiries, providing information on programs and services.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current Food Handler's permit and First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of food preparation and serving, as well as cash handling and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with safety, sanitation, and gerontology standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interactions with Senior Citizen patrons. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
