About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist II to join our team at St. John's Regional Medical Center, a Top 250 Hospital in the Nation and a member of Dignity Health's Southern California Division.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' speech, language, and cognitive abilities to assess and develop personalized rehabilitation plans.
  • Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to adults and pediatrics, including assessment, treatment, and education.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Administer diagnostic and therapeutic techniques to evaluate and treat cognitive and swallowing disorders.
  • Support the department's customer service and performance improvement goals by working collaboratively with other caregivers and staff.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in Modified Barium Swallow studies.
Requirements
  • Current valid California State license in Speech Pathology (Lic. SLP).
  • Current AHA BLS certification.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong working knowledge of principles, standard practices, procedures, and equipment utilized in the department.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
