Admissions Counselor Senior

We are seeking a highly skilled Admissions Counselor Senior to join our team at Marshall University. As a key member of our Graduate Records & Admissions department, you will play a critical role in counseling prospective students and evaluating graduate applicant files.

• Counsel prospective students on all aspects of the admission/enrollment process
• Evaluate graduate applicant files for basic admissibility, completeness, and authenticity of credentials
• Perform admission-related duties and supervise admission-related processes as assigned
• Coordinate the review and admission of special populations as assigned
• Participate as an active member of the Graduate Admissions Office

• Bachelor's degree
• One year plus of experience in public relations or public contact work
• Excellent communication skills, data entry skills, and ability to accurately evaluate/process detailed information

• Prior admissions/records experience, including experience with SCT Banner or similar student information systems
