Job Summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including computed tomography (CT) scans, to help diagnose and treat patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging Procedures: Perform CT scans and other diagnostic imaging procedures to help diagnose and treat patients.
  • Patient Care: Provide exceptional patient care and adhere to radiation safety standards to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and effective patient care.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Quality Control: Perform daily quality control checks on imaging equipment to ensure accuracy and safety.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
  • Certifications: CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - State Licensure, BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA), and American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Radiography (ARRT (R)) or Radiation Therapy (ARRT (T)) or Nuclear Medicine (ARRT (N)) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification (CNMT) and American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in CT (ARRT (CT)).
  • Skills: Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language, ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers, and possesses basic computer knowledge.
