Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatry Physician to join our team at Geisinger Health System. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our inpatient psychiatry program.

Job Duties
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric care to adult patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental health conditions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct assessments, evaluations, and therapy sessions to address patient needs.
  • Prescribe and manage medications as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in psychiatric care.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree.
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Board certification in psychiatry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
