About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Carilion Clinic as a Physical Therapist Assistant in our Inpatient and Outpatient settings. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing patient care under the direction of a licensed physical therapist, with a focus on delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient care based on therapist evaluation and plan of care, taking into consideration the patient's chronological and developmental ages.
  • Coordinate patient care and clinical activities through effective communication with patients, families, therapists, Clinical Team Leaders, managers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Document patient records and complete other patient care-related forms in compliance with regulatory agencies and departmental policies.
  • Supervise and collaborate with support staff, volunteers, and students to achieve efficient clinical activity and quality patient care.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Experience in site-specific level of care, although not required.
  • Licensure to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
  • CPR certification within six months of employment.
