About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team in Brookline, Massachusetts.

This is an ongoing opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing exceptional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Function as a scrub person during operative and invasive procedures, assembling supplies, equipment, and instrumentation as required.
  • Perform counting procedures in concert with the RN circulator, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist with placement of sterile drapes, providing instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures.
  • Maintain an organized sterile field, ensuring sterility and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare sterile dressings, clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing, and transport them to decontamination areas.
  • Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the operative room and preparation of the room for subsequent patients.
  • Participate in ongoing educational and competency activities, precepting staff to surgical technician job duties.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to I.C.A.R.E. standards.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Surgical Technician Certification required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
  • 1 year of Surgical Technician experience preferred.
