Industrial Electrician

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at GPAC. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, correcting, and maintaining all electrical equipment within our manufacturing facility.

• Electrical System Maintenance: Test electrical systems and circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures to ensure optimal performance.
• Inspection and Repair: Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or repair needs.
• PLC Programming and Upgrades: Troubleshoot, program, and upgrade Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) to improve system efficiency.
• Electrical Control Schematics: Identify and troubleshoot objects using electrical control schematics to ensure accurate system operation.
• Vendor Communication: Work with vendors to identify needed parts and recommend to Supervisor.
• Instrumentation and Documentation: Understand and update instrumentation loop diagrams, E & I drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate system documentation.
• Variable Speed Drivers: Program AC & DC variable speed drivers to optimize system performance.
• Power Distribution System: Update power distribution system, MCC, and switch gears to ensure safe and efficient system operation.
• Electrical Equipment Installation: Install electrical equipment consisting of variable frequency drives, diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Maintain and troubleshoot various optimizations systems to ensure optimal system performance.

• Lock-out Procedures: Possess knowledge of lock-out procedures to ensure safe system operation.
• Field Level Hazard Risk Assessments: Conduct Field Level Hazard Risk Assessments (FLHRA) to identify potential hazards.
• Electrical Circuitry and Components: Possess knowledge of electrical circuitry and components, including circuit breakers, motors, and controllers, control devices, motor theory, rigging, precision alignments.
• Electrical Schematics: Read and interpret electrical schematics to ensure accurate system operation.
• Predictive and Preventative Maintenance: Possess knowledge of predictive and preventative maintenance techniques to ensure optimal system performance.
• Computer and PLC Skills: Possess computer and PLC skills to troubleshoot and program systems.
• Hand and Power Tools: Possess knowledge of hand and power tools and understand proper use, including multi-meters, knowledge of 480 volt 3 Phase AC.
• Rotating Shifts and Overtime: Be willing to work rotating shifts, overtime, and be on-call to support 24/7 operations.
• Industrial/Manufacturing Experience: Possess 4-5 years of Electrician work experience in the Industrial/Manufacturing environment.
• Education: Possess a High School Diploma or GED.

• Allen Bradley PLC5: Possess experience with Allen Bradley PLC5.
• Allen Bradley ControlLogix 5000: Possess experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix 5000.
• Allen Bradley Panelviews: Possess experience with Allen Bradley Panelviews.
• Allen Bradley Communications: Possess experience with Allen Bradley Communications – Devicenet & Ethernet.
• Scanning and Optimization Systems: Possess experience with scanning and optimization systems within the Lumber Business (Porter, USNR).
• Process Network Communication Systems: Possess experience with process network communication systems and components – Ethernet & Fiber Optic.
