Mass General Brigham is seeking a Physical Therapist for a job in Ashland, Massachusetts.
This is an ongoing position that requires 40 hours of work per week.
The successful candidate will provide physical therapy services to patients with impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities resulting from injury, disease, or other causes.
They will practice in collaboration with other members of an interdisciplinary team, educate patients, families, and others, and direct and supervise support personnel.
The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in physical therapy, be licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and have effective verbal and written communication skills.
They will also have basic skills in math and computer science, and be able to safely execute all job responsibilities without risking injury to themselves or patients.
The Physical Therapist will work independently, be self-directed, and contribute as a member of a team.
They will also have a high level of service delivery, demonstrate initiative, and be able to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate physical therapy needs according to organizational and professional guidelines.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that reflect understanding of patients' age and situation, including discharge plans.
- Revised treatment plans based on patient progress towards stated goals.
- Complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with facility and practice guidelines.
- Orient, train, and mentor therapy and health care students to achieve stated performance expectations.
- Identify and act upon performance improvement opportunities to implement best practices.
- Complete additional department, organization, or network activities as established.
