We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services team at Houston Methodist. As a Staff Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
- Conduct thorough nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and collaborate with the interprofessional team to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and utilize clinical judgment to manage patient care effectively.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure informed decision-making and optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contribute to departmental goals, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- One year of nursing experience in a healthcare environment
- RN - Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure within 60 days
- BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA)
