Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated CMM Operator to ensure the highest standards of quality through precise measurements and inspections.

Key Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyzing job-related documentation such as part drawings and CMM programs.
  • Preparing the workspace and CMM machinery for upcoming tasks.
  • Assisting in the troubleshooting of CMM programs as necessary.
  • Collecting parts from machining centers to perform CMM and Micro-Vu measurements for initial and ongoing inspections.
  • Utilizing the CMM to accurately measure part dimensions.
  • Generating and distributing reports to team members as required.
  • Facilitating change-over activities in manufacturing to ensure timely production of first acceptable parts.
  • Separating non-conforming materials from acceptable ones.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S principles.
  • Carrying out additional duties as assigned.
  • Providing constructive feedback and fostering effective communication.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are required:

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience with quality inspection tools, processes, and protocols.
  • Proficiency in both Imperial and Metric measurement systems.
Language Proficiency
  • Ability to write professionally across various platforms while adhering to established styles and formats.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
Analytical Skills
  • Capable of solving practical problems and managing diverse variables in situations with limited standardization.
  • Adept at interpreting various forms of instructions, whether written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Visio).
  • Prior experience with Calypso software is preferred.
