Job Summary

The Wellness Associate plays a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents at The Mansions at Alpharetta. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for delivering personalized services and care to each resident based on their individual needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, and mobility as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of each resident's physical and mental health, reporting any changes to the Wellness Director.
  • Manage medical supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
  • Support shift coverage and assist with finding coverage when unexpected call-outs occur.
  • Develop and maintain assignments for the Wellness Director.
  • Orient and onboard new Wellness Associates.
  • Respond to resident emergencies, provide first aid, and arrange for medical follow-up as needed.
  • Assist residents with maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly living environment.
  • Answer calls for assistance and attend to resident needs promptly.
  • Assist with meal selection, service, and feeding as assigned.
  • Support activity programs as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate records and files according to policy.
  • Participate in a minimum of 6 hours of in-service education per year.
Requirements:
  • Current State Nurse's Aide registration preferred but not required.
  • Experience and passion in working with seniors.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including pushing, bending, and lifting up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, families, peers, and other staff members.
  • Good physical and emotional health, free of communicable diseases.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to bend and reach.
  • Ability to push and pull and lift up to 60 pounds at times.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • May be required to use a Hoyer Lift.
Working Conditions:
  • May be required to work weekends and holidays as assigned.
  • May be required to work on shifts other than the one for which hired.
  • May be required to work extended hours (up to 16 hours per day).
  • Subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc.
  • May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents due to mental status.
  • Background, criminal, and drug tests may be required.
  • May be asked to submit to random drug tests during employment.
  • May have their picture taken and image used in social media or community advertising.
  • May be video recorded from devices installed by families in residents' apartments.
