Join Our Team as a Clinician Educator/Clinical Researcher

We are seeking a highly skilled clinician educator and clinical researcher to join our team at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a faculty member in the Department of Family Medicine, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of clinicians, educators, and researchers who are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of North Carolinians and others whom we serve.

About the Position

This is a full-time, permanent faculty position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will have a strong background in family medicine and a demonstrated commitment to clinical research and education. As a clinician educator, you will be responsible for providing patient care in one of our Family Medicine Centers and/or on our inpatient service at UNC Hillsborough Hospital, based on applicant interest and department need.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care in a clinical setting
  • Teach and mentor medical students, interns, residents, fellows, and other learners in a variety of clinical settings
  • Develop and implement clinical research projects related to chronic illness and aging
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve access, reduce cost, improve quality, and promote efficiency and better health outcomes
Requirements

MD or DO required. Candidates must be board eligible or board certified in Family Medicine. Fellowship training and/or an advanced degree (e.g. MPH) is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
