About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at United Urology Group. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of providing exceptional urologic care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and implement treatment plans as directed by Radiation Oncologists, utilizing complex techniques and equipment.
  • Educate patients on procedures, skincare, side effects, and nutrition to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
  • Perform simulation procedures and prepare immobilization devices for various body parts, ensuring accurate and safe treatment delivery.
  • Monitor patients' clinical progress, withholding treatment if necessary and referring patients to Radiation Oncologists or Executive Directors for appropriate intervention.
  • Operate therapeutic equipment, maintain patient positioning, and monitor patients during procedures, while performing related clerical duties.
  • Evaluate and assess treatment machine operations, recognizing malfunctions and reporting them to Executive Directors.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare teams, patients, and families, adhering to strict radiation safety guidelines and organizational standards.
  • Accurately complete and chart simulation and treatment summaries, reports, and documentation.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiation Therapy School.
  • Current ARRT and State licensure, verified prior to employment.
  • Current BLS license, verified prior to employment.
  • Minimum of six (6) months' experience as a staff therapist.
  • Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
  • Current knowledge of clinical practice, radiation protection, and quality assurance.
  • Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, strong communication skills, and proficiency in computer software and database skills.
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and maintain HIPAA compliance.
