Job Summary

The DEIB Coordinator works in partnership with the VP of Equity and Early Childhood Programs to support the development and implementation of initiatives that advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging across the organization. This role is essential in fostering a culture of inclusion and ensuring that DEIB principles are integrated into all aspects of the workplace, from recruitment to staff development to program execution.

Key Responsibilities
  1. DEIB Program Support
    • Assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of DEIB programs and initiatives.
    • Support the Vice President of Equity & Early Childhood Programs in standardizing and systematizing DEIB efforts across the organization.
    • Coordinate workshops, training sessions, and events focused on DEIB topics.
  2. Recruitment & Onboarding
    • Collaborate with HR to develop and implement inclusive recruitment strategies that attract a diverse pool of candidates.
    • Ensure that onboarding processes reflect the organization's commitment to DEIB.
  3. Data Collection & Analysis
    • Collect, analyze, and report on DEIB metrics to assess the effectiveness of programs and initiatives.
    • Use data to inform continuous improvement strategies for DEIB efforts.
  4. Communication & Collaboration
    • Serve as a point of contact for DEIB-related inquiries and concerns.
    • Work cross-functionally to create sustainable partnerships and maximize the impact of DEIB initiatives.
    • Ensure clear and consistent communication regarding DEIB programs to all stakeholders.
  5. Culture Development
    • Nurture a culture of belonging and continuous learning in alignment with the organization's values and mission.
    • Promote practices that disrupt patterns of exclusion and inequality within the workplace.
  6. Leadership Support
    • Provide administrative support to the Vice President of Equity & Early Childhood Programs, including scheduling, meeting coordination, and documentation.
    • Assist in developing and executing leadership programming that centers equity and social justice.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human Resources, Social Sciences, Education) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in DEIB work, human resources, or a related area.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.
    • High level of racial literacy and emotional intelligence.
  • Competencies:
    • Commitment to equity, social justice, and fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Work Environment

This role may require occasional travel and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on program needs.

This position will have a hybrid work schedule with a mix of on-site and work from home days. Weekly on-site days are required
