Job Title: Director of Concrete Quality

At Brightpath Associates LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Concrete Quality to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of concrete products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate testing schedules with project managers, project coordinators, and ownership to ensure timely and accurate results.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to optimize workflow and improve efficiency.
  • Analyze materials and make recommendations to improve quality and reduce costs.
  • Perform regular testing and record data to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Identify, recommend, and assist with process/equipment improvements for set-ups and test methods.
  • Capable of executing laboratory-based investigations and development projects.
  • Maintain and operate physical and analytical testing equipment.
  • Promptly report any mechanical or calibration problems with equipment.
  • Ensure proper inventory management for admixtures and raw materials.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ensure the lab remains clean, organized, and safe.
Requirements:
  • Mix-Design experience required.
  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques, field techniques, and test methods on cement and concrete (i.e., ASTM, AASHTO, ACI).
  • Understanding of cement and concrete ASTMs, AASHTOs, and/or other similar test standards.
  • Skilled with cement and concrete testing equipment and tools.
  • Knowledge with analytical equipment.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm in difficult situations.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associates Degree or ACI certification, preferred.
  • Prior knowledge and ability to acquire testing certifications sponsored by the company.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
