Delivery Route Specialist

About the Job

As a Rural Carrier Associate with USPS, you will be responsible for delivering mail and packages to customers along a prescribed rural route. Your key duties will include:

  1. Sorting and loading mail in delivery sequence for the assigned route
  2. Providing customers with a range of services
  3. Collecting monies and receipts for accountable mail
  4. Loading mail in vehicle and delivering it to customers on a regular schedule
  5. Picking up mail from roadside boxes
  6. Returning undelivered mail and submitting monies and receipts to the post office
  7. Maintaining accurate records of change of address information
  8. Preparing daily trip reports and customer lists
  9. Conducting special surveys as needed
  10. Ensuring mail security at all times
Requirements

This role requires:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to lift and move heavy packages
  • A valid driver's license
Salary Information

Our competitive salary ranges from $62,541 to $92,248 per year, depending on your location and experience.
