About This Role

Capital One is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack to join our dynamic remote-first engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing new products, applications, and services to power our business while improving and maintaining existing ones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based software solutions using languages like JavaScript, Python, and TypeScript.
  • Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment.
  • Utilize Agile practices to prioritize and drive issues to completion, tracking towards bigger OKRs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in software engineering (internship experience does not apply).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in JavaScript, React.JS, Node.JS, and TypeScript.
  • 2+ years working with Postgres, Cassandra, and the SQL language.
  • 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
  • 2+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
  • 1+ years of experience working with ML algorithms and models.
