Job Summary

As a Respiratory Therapist at Memorial Hermann Health System, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and customer service. This position requires a strong commitment to quality care, safety, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medical gases, medication, and aerosols for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes.
  • Provide patient education and follow written orders from physicians.
  • Perform patient assessment and basic interpretation of arterial blood gases, pulmonary function testing, and chest x-rays.
  • Communicate effectively with professional colleagues and manage time effectively.
  • Document appropriately in the medical records and complete other documentation duties accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification preferred.
  • Current Respiratory Care Practitioner License or Temporary Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Two (2) years of critical care experience, preferred.
