Position Overview:

Elderwood at Liverpool is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals for the role of Dining Services Associate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of meals to residents, adhering to departmental policies and specific assignments.
  • Ensure compliance with residents' dietary requirements, including texture modifications and menu preferences during food preparation and service.
  • Perform all designated responsibilities during scheduled shifts in accordance with safety regulations and best practices.
  • Serve meals to residents in dining areas, following seating arrangements and instructions provided on resident tray tickets.
  • Contribute to the care and maintenance of the kitchen environment and equipment.
  • Actively participate in facility and departmental staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Engage with residents and family members regarding the quality of meal service.
  • Utilize the electronic timekeeping system as directed.
  • Maintain punctuality and adhere to scheduled work hours.
  • Follow the facility's dress code, including wearing a name tag at all times.
  • Comply with policies regarding the use of electronic devices and communication tools.
  • Support and uphold Elderwood's Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Adhere to Elderwood's code of conduct, compliance, and HIPAA policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Employment Certificate/Permit required for applicable individuals.
  • Prior experience in customer service is preferred.
  • ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain it is necessary.
  • Physical stamina is essential for ongoing activity.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience in food service, hospitality, or restaurant settings is desirable.
  • This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, and supervisors, necessitating proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language at an intermediate level or higher.
