Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Grand Rapids and surrounding areas. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will work directly with individuals to develop effective communication skills, assess speech and language abilities, and create personalized treatment plans. Your expertise will play a vital role in helping individuals achieve their maximum rehabilitation potential.

About the Role:

This part-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others. As a Speech Language Pathologist at Sevita, you will be responsible for:

  • Directing and administering speech therapy using evidence-based techniques to assist individuals with functional disabilities of speech, language, voice, and swallowing.
  • Reviewing medical records, evaluating individuals served, developing treatment plans, and administering therapy sessions.
  • Providing effective evaluations, documentation, and communication of medical information to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Assessing speech and language skills, development, articulation ability, and voice and fluency disorders of patients assigned.
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient therapy plans in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services and the individual's physician.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Master's Degree in Speech Therapy or Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • At least one year of experience as a Speech Therapist, preferably in a rehabilitation setting.
  • Current state licensure/certification as a Speech Therapist.
  • Self-motivation, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with a commitment to a multidisciplinary team approach.
