Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team at Intermountain Healthcare. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License.
  • BLS Certification upon hire.
  • ACLS required within 9 months of hire for all ICU/ED RN's.
  • Oncology RN's-OCN certification or 12 credits of cancer-related education per year.
  • PALS required within 9 months of hire/transfer for all ICU/ED/RNs.
  • TNCC within 12 months of transfer or hire for all ICU/ED/RNs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • National Certification in area of practice.
  • Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team to achieve patient-focused outcomes.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write reports and effectively present information to groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to:

  • See and read information, labels, and assess patient needs.
  • Operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
  • Verbal communicate and hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
  • Manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
  • Lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients.
  • Walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
