After School Program Coordinator

Position Overview:
We are in search of dedicated and enthusiastic Program Coordinators to oversee educational, recreational, and enrichment initiatives as part of our After School Programs. The role involves engaging with a group of up to 20 students during after school hours, ensuring a supportive and enriching environment.
Commitment:
This position requires a commitment to the full academic year, providing stability and continuity for our students.
Work Schedule:
Program Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM; Wednesday - 12:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive pay rate: $23 - $26, determined by experience and location.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Possession of an Associate Degree or higher, or completion of 48 college units, or successful passing of the Instructional Aide exam.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and TB test.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Availability to work every day during designated after school hours.
- Experience working with middle school students is required.
- General knowledge of core subjects taught at the elementary and middle school levels.
- Strong classroom management and behavioral guidance skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic support and homework assistance to participants.
- Design and implement educational activities aligned with students' needs and state standards.
- Deliver clear instructions for assigned tasks.
- Develop lesson plans utilizing learning objectives and instructional strategies.
- Create and facilitate engaging enrichment and physical activities.
- Support students in acquiring skills necessary for academic and personal success.
- Foster a safe and positive learning environment.
- Ensure student safety through active supervision.
- Exemplify positive behaviors and attitudes.
- Mentor high school interns participating in the program.
- Maintain regular communication with program coordinators.
- Update parents on student progress and behavior.
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of program spaces and materials.
- Exhibit professionalism in speech, behavior, and attire.
- Maintain accurate attendance records.
- Meet all deadlines consistently.
